25TH M&A WORLDWIDE NETWORK CONVENTION AT NEW DELHI, INDIA BRINGS TOGETHER OVER 150 INDIAN CORPORATES AND 42 M&A ADVISORS FROM OVER 30 COUNTRIES

Corporate Catalyst India (CCI) played host to 42 advisors from over 30 countries at the 25th M&A WORLDWIDE International Convention held on November 17-18, 2016 at Hotel ShangriLa, New Delhi. CCI is an exclusive member of the M&A Worldwide network and organized the first ever M&A Worldwide conference in India. The annual event endeavors to bring together the member firms of M&A Worldwide, a global network M&A advisory firms to discuss potential transactions across industries and geographies was held in India for the first time in the history of the network. The 2 day convention included the GLOBAL INVESTMENT & ACQUISITIONS FORUM 2016 supported by ASA & Associates LLP as Knowledge Partner. Mr. Nalin Kohli, a distinguished Advocate and Spokesperson of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party as the chief guest. The Forum began with the opening remarks by Mr. Ajay Sethi, Founder and Managing Director – CCI followed by a presentation of on Global M&A trends by Mr Bjorn Voigt, Chairman M&A Worldwide Network and a keynote address by Mr. Kohli who reaffirmed the current Government’s intention to create and sustain a business and investment-friendly environment in India. He pointed out India’s continuous efforts towards policy reforms to enable ease of doing business in India. The addresses clearly set the tone for the subject ‘Trends, Challenges & Changing M&A Environment’ at the Forum.

The Forum also heard the invaluable insights and real life experiences at the panel discussions on inbound and outbound M&A from industry veterans and professionals like Bharat Kaushal (Sumitomo), Rajiv Vij (Carzonrent), Siddhartha Singh (NIIT), Miniya Chatterji (Jindal Steel), Ajay Tandon (CX Partners), Nitin Arora (CCI) and Yogesh Singh (Trilegal). The panel discussions were succeeded by focused B2B meetings and networking lunch where over 150 Indian corporates met the M&A Worldwide advisory firms to discuss potential opportunities in over 30 markets. The network members presented opportunities that they had to offer to elicit interest while the Indian corporates and investors explored potential abroad. The 25th M&A WORLDWIDE International Convention coincided with the 25th anniversary of Corporate Catalyst India (CCI) making it a grand affair. The convention culminated with the anniversary celebrations at a joyous evening marked by a spectacular cultural performance by ‘Ability Unlimited’ a group of differently abled people followed by a sumptuous dinner and dance fusions from across the globe.
